Text – talk – call – see

I began to ask myself that how can I extract certain parts of the existing objects, and combine them to create something that’s not only unique but also conveys the right message.

The distintive form or feature of a character is what separates it from being just good to great, and to be memorable. And it is my goal to bring this kind of uniqueness to these characters.

Using 3D allows me to quickly turn my concepts into realistic forms. Doing so in the early stage will give me a better understand of what's achievable,  and how far I can expand my original ideas. The main reason of choosing 3D instead of 2D is because of its flexbility – I can have the same 3D model/scene render in many different styles. If later on I discover the style doesn't quite meet the audience's expectation then I can change it without having to redo much work.

Concept Three – MSN Robot

The idea is to create something that signifies the MSN Live Messenger is much cooler and more fun with the video calling feature added. This concept will be further developed to result either a short animation or an interative website.

Website for nitendo’s cyber puppies game

This site is wonderfully conceived. Great art direction and user experience all around, from flash paw print transitions to house training meets scrapbook techniques that tastefully wrap the experience throughout. This site offers tons of engaging interactivity, from how to play the game, to something like getting a adoption paper for the puppies.
